Reflections based on the proof that Shakespeare, when he adapted Plutarch for the stage, especially in Antony and Cleopatra, drew not only on the English version of Thomas North, but also on North's 'original', the French translation of Jacques Amyot.
Une réflexion basée sur des preuves que Shakespeare, en adaptant plutarque pour la scène, surtout dans Antoine et Cléopâtre, a puisé, non seulement dans la version anglaise de Thomas North, mais aussi dans son 'original', la traduction française de Jacques Amyot.
