TRADUIRE L'EUPHEMISME " ECONOMIQUE "
Résumé
The aim of this work is to study problems connected with the translation of euphemisms in the context of popularization of economic knowledge. Translating this kind of euphemism entails a double problem because, on the one hand, it often appears in the form of technicism and it consequently involves specialized translation problems, especially terminological problems. On the other hand, "economic" euphemisms imply a pragmatic activity which allows the translator to adapt his transposition to the socio-cultural dimension of the reader and to the economical and political contexts characterizing the source and the target country.
ce travail vise à présenter les problèmes liés à la traduction de l'euphémisme dans un contexte de divulgation des connaissances économiques. La traduction de ce type d'euphémisme comporte une double difficulté car, d'une part, il apparaît souvent sous forme de technicisme et entraine des problèmes propres à la traduction technique, notamment des problèmes terminologiques. D'autre part, l'euphémisme " économique " suppose une activité pragmatique, qui permettra au traducteur d'adapter sa transposition à l'horizon socioculturel du lecteur et au contexte économique et politique caractérisant le pays source et le pays cible.
