Abstract : In this new translation by David Crouth, Martin Aurell revives the passion and politics revolts and reversals of the Plantagenet Empire. Using the complex sources of for the period, the author uncorvers and intricate web of sophistical decision making and political manoeuvring and brings to life the world of the twelfth-century political consultants and gurus : men capable to thinking in the sort of geo-political terms hitherto imagined in the earlier medieval period.
