Modification of physical and physiological parameters can influence the vibratory pattern of the VF in its periodicity, regularity, symmetry, amplitude, and contact area between the 2 VF. Voice disorder is characterized by a change in voice quality and timber, pitch, loudness and comfort. Voice disorder results from structural or physical alterations, certain physiological and environmental factors that may contribute to impairing the vibrator or inappropriate voicing mechanism (overuse, underuse or misuse).
