L'urne du flamine Severus : un faux du début du XVIIIe s.

Abstract : Recently appeared at Lyon, a Roman cinerary urn bears an inscription mentioning a Severus, flamen. But if the urn is genuine, a careful examination of the inscription shows that this last is a fake, probably realised for the Jesuites, in whose Cabinet the item is mentionned as early as 1724.
