Anatomie des printemps arabes

Abstract : The series of popular revolts initiated by the "Tunisian Spring" in January 2011 sheds light on several major aspects of the dynamics of Arab national politics and international relations : in addition to the long blindness of European diplomacy (since its support for the coup in Algerian in 1992) it shows the persistence of the different expressions of Islamist currents (in spite of significant internal changes) as well as the scant attention they continue to receive in the dominant Western understanding and perception of the region.
