"Le crédit de face-à-face dans l'histoire contemporaine du crédit à la consommation ou les fondements sociaux des transactions".

Abstract : Face-to-face credit granted by shokeepers to their clients continued to exist in France until the 1970s. Through a case study of the textile and clothing trade in the the mining region of Lens, this article examines the social conditions that made these transactions possible.
