" Marot. Il se nommait Jean... ". Essai sur l'œuvre d'un graveur d'architecture du Grand Siècle

Abstract : An architect himself, Jean Marot (ca 1619-1679) is the main chronicler of the French architecture in the mid 17th century. His production of more than a thousand plates encompasses ornamental and architectural models, but also projects of famous architects from his time like Lemercier, Le Vau, or Hardouin-Mansart. His work has been published in two anthologies ,the Grand Marot et the Petit Marot.
