Au carrefour des expertises : autour d'une technologie pour la santé.

Abstract : At the crossroads of expertise: through an healthcare technology. Healthcare technologies involve new stakeholders (families, caregivers, health professionals, engineers...) often implicated in the technological design process. We have investigated two projects: motion capture for epileptic seizures detection and body monitoring to prevent frostbite. This fieldwork leads us to considerate an intimate knowledge of the body ran by the users themselves. This knowledge meets the measurements and scientific protocols and performs sometimes the technological design process. We want to question a large status of the expertise which is not only qualifying an institutionalized role but also experiential knowledge mobilized by non-professional actors. Finally, we will show various combinations of expertise working through the experimental situation.
