Place de l'acoustique dans la revue La voix parlée et Chantée

Abstract : The physical, musical, vocal, architectural acoustics, acoustics for the audition and the learning, and a description of the instrumentation used in this discipline, are discussed in 27% of the articles in La voix parlée et chantée; this journal reflects the great scientific changes in the late nineteenth century. The physical and musical acoustics are discussed in 2/3 of these pages, almost entirely written by Auguste Guillemin, while the acoustic speech, written by the same author, occupies the fourth. The description of all available instruments of this period to view the sound or its conditions of production is done on 10% of articles dealing with acoustics, revealing the interdisciplinary excellence of this journal.
