Représentations du concept de valeur dans les déclarations de 23 enseignants débutants et experts

Abstract : Values play a part in the intelligibility of the different patterns in the teaching of arts. The aim of this article is to establish the representations of the concept of value in the declarations of 23 or 48 music teachers, beginners and experts, when the question is asked explicitly, during an interview after observation of an hour long class which has been filmed. Six main variables are analysed. Is the question of values relevant in the relationships those teachers have with the subject they teach? What are the circumstances linked to their teaching in which this question is necessary? Is the term "value" clear? To what extent are these teachers able to define it (definition, synonyms)? What conception do they infer? Do these values have a meaning and, if so, what is it?
