Abstract : This article presents AccesSim, an agent-based model and game that was designed in order to familiarize users with the concept of accessibility in an urban context. This interactive model was built upon the Netlogo modeling platform. After discussing the heuristic and educational potentialities of a simulation-based approach, we present the core rules and principles of the model. Finally, we discuss the results of two of the public experiments that have been lead, during The Saint- Dié-les-Vosges' geography festival and the French "Fête de la Science" in 2008.
