Anticlericalismo y sexto mandamiento en el Jardín de Venus de Samaniego
Résumé
The article focuses on the relationship between text and society in the 19th century based on the collection of lewd tales entitled El Jardin de Venus by Felix Mara de Samaniego, a Spanish fable writer. We will more particularly dwell on the relationship between the thread of the narrative of these tales and the religious moral norm embodied by the sixth commandment. The conclusions emphasise the way anticlericalism is presented in the collection together with its association with popular culture.
El artículo es un estudio de las relaciones entre texto y sociedad a partir de la colección de cuentos del fabulista Samaniego, El jardín de Venus. Nos centramos en particular en las relaciones entre el desarrollo narrativo de los cuentos y la norma moral que representaba el sexto mandamiento. Los resultados insisten en la forma en que el anticlericalismo se expresa en la colección y sus relaciones con la cultura popular.
