Artefacts : encyclopédie en projet, outil d'aujourd'hui

Abstract : Available since July 2009, Artefacts is a projected "Online encyclopedy of archaeological small finds". This is an ambitious project, presently gathering c. 30 searchers who can use a database created within Syslat®, documentary system in archaeology, created at lattes (UMR 5140 of the Cnrs) by Michel Py. The article describes the aims and main features of the project, with its two branches, Dicobj, which is the complete database available only to the authors, and provides innovative tools for the study of small finds, such as catalogues, mapping etc. ; and Artefacts, the internet vitrine of the whole programm.
