Développement et mise en œuvre d'un SIG 3D environnemental urbain

Abstract : Geographic information systems have a primary role to play for sustainable urban development, as tools for collecting and analyzing environmental properties of buildings and urban spaces, either as a support for communication and public participation in urban planning. To this end, GIS should take into account the third dimension and they should be able to interoperate with existing simulation tools of urban physical phenomena. This paper introduces an environmental urban 3D GIS system that aims at achieving these objectives. We expose the structure of the system, currently experienced in real urban processes in the city of Nantes, and we show the way environmental data is integrated to it.
