The collocations of cant: Looking at the phraseology of administrative French

Résumé

This book sets out to study the language of administration using a corpus linguistics methodology. The object of study is administrative French, both at home and in the EU, showing the cross influence of national and EU administrative-speak on each other. The language under discussion may be French, but the methodology and conclusions drawn should be of interest to a wider audience, corpus linguists obviously, but also all disciplines of humanities research where language and language change is of importance.
