Enclos quadrangulaires et puits à offrandes : le cas de Bruyères-sur-Oise (Val-d’Oise)

Abstract : Boundary ditches, enclosures and pits containing special deposits have been brought to the fore by the excavation of a large 15 hectares area. The fill of one of the ditches has revealed evidence of a square palisade. In the direct vicinity, a timber lined well was discovered, probably in use until the beginning of the 1st century AD. Its abandon is marked by a special deposit that includes scythe blades, millstones, wax lined pottery, wine amphora shards and animal skulls. A detailed emmination of the quadrangular ditches reveals that this construction was traced using a symmetrical corded system.
