After having pointed out the context of the construction of Heliopolis and having briefly recalled the history, the author studies the activities of the members of the Italian colony in Egypt (investors, architects, contractors) in the construction of this neighborhood of Cairo.

Après avoir rappelé le contexte d'édification d'Héliopolis et en avoir brièvement retracé l'historique, l'auteur étudie l'activité des membres de la colonie italienne d'Egypte (investisseurs, architectes, entrepreneurs) dans sa construction de cette banlieue du Caire.
