Le Paléolithique supérieur ancien de Mongolie : Dörölj 1 (Egiïn Gol). Analogies avec les données de l'Altaï et de Sibérie.

Abstract : Discovered in 1999, the Paleolithic site of Dörölj I is situated in a detritic complex located on the west bank of the Eg river, a tributary of the Selenga. The geological study is focused mainly to reconstitution of the Pleistocene deposits covering a part of the Last Glacial (IOS 3-2) and that have been disturbed by periglacial modifications. The archaeological level, situated below the loess deposit is dated around 32-30 kyr BP and related to the Early Upper Palaeolithic period contemporaneous of the European Aurignacian. As the comparisons are hard to be found in the Far-Eastn, it is interesting to note similarities and differences with the EUP of the rest of Mongolia (Orkhon valley, Gobi Altai) and, further North and West, with the techno-complexes attested in the South of Siberia (Trans-Baikal, Angara, Yenisei, Altai).
