Dynamique du sol et fossilisation des ensembles archéologiques sur les sites de plein air. Données expérimentales sur l'organisation des micro-artefacts et des traits pédo-sédimentaires

Abstract : The consideration of post-depositional processes is becoming an integral part of Palaeolithic archaeology. the present paper summarises the results of an experimental study carried out on the burying of clusters ok knapped flints. The study focuses primarily on the organization of micro-artefacts, considered mainly from the viewpoint of taphonomy. In this context, the contribution of micromorphology-related techniques appears essential to our understanding of the pedo-sedimentary processes during the fossilisation flint assemblages. The preliminary results highlight the interest of this type of study for a more precise specification of the different types and varying intensity of post-depositional processes on open-air palaeolithic sites.
