Abstract : First edition of the mosaic uncovered at Nabgha (Syria). This large mosaic, which is probably dated 407-408 CE, is important for its iconography, the traces of iconoclastic destructions, but first of all through a long Syriac inscription (22 lines), the oldest dated christian Syriac inscription ever known.
