Sieyès, lecteur problématique des Lumières
Résumé
Sieyès' manuscripts make it possible to appreciate what the reception of the Enlightenment could have meant to the author. The bibliography he drew up at the age of 22 outlines his intellectual life where his political writings continued his rejection of Rousseau and of Montesquieu. Condillac's sensualism inspired his classification and designation of government. His economic ideas, drawn from a critical reflection on physiocracy found, in Adam Smith's works, answers to his social preoccupations.
