La gestion des risques dans les stations de montagne ; l'exemple de Val Thorens

Abstract : This paper deals with hazards production and risk management in french ski resorts. Winter sport tourism actually generates both an economic dynamism for several mountain areas and some accidents mainly implicating some of the resorts customers. Thus, risk management ins an essential condition of the ski resorts functionning. The aim of this resarch is to demonstrate that the way of managing risks is closely connected with the territory, and especially with the safety professionals conceptions of the territory. such an analysis perspective allows to better identify the way the territory (in a broad sense) is seen by these latter.
