Tunisie : quelle transition démocratique ?

Abstract : This chapter analyzes the social and historical importance of the Tunisian « medical coup d'état » of November 7, 1987, and tries to explain why the subsequent social calm did not lead to a lasting institutional arrangement favoring the development of a pluralist public space with some degree of independence from the political regime.
