Burqush-Barkousa : du village à la cité

Abstract : The study focuses on the localisation of the ancient village of Barkousa, which was a bishopric of Phoenice Libanensis in Late Antiquity and which became a city under the reign of the Roman emperor Justinian. The archaeological remains of Burqush (Mt Hermon, Syria) belong probably to this village.
