Thematic networks and text types

Abstract : In this article the issue of textual organisation is analysed from the viewpoint of thematic progression. We propose to study the extent to which the different thematic networks or progressions established within a text vary depending on the type of text, namely in this instance a specialised scientific text and a popularised account. Some possible didactic offshoots from this analysis are also discussed.
