L'accessibilité aux aménités urbaines. Théorie, modélisation et représentation cartographique

Abstract : This paper argues for the interest of gravity accessibility index in spite of numerous criticism. In a first part it is shown that this indicator is based on a behavioural spatial interaction model which is consistent with the surplus theory. Then gravity accessibility calculations are made on the Strasbourg area. These calculations underline both the possibility to take into account the population heterogeneity with a semi-disaggregated analysis and the possibility to consider a detailed zonal approach with an appropriated GIS.
