Cette montagne que l'on partage. Frontière et montagne dans les coopérations transfrontalières de régions alpines

Abstract : The transborder co-operations constitute a form of crossing of borders in sofar as they require to think differently the nearest space. Like the term of co-operation itself, the integrity and the singularity of the involved entities are maintained with the relations that they develop. The border become the starting point of collaboration and the mountain - its concept and its practices - becomes the referent which directs the going beyond the differences.
These identification modes interest us particularly because they can qualify a trans-territorial relation : how can a transborder territory constitute himself from the distinct territorial identities? If the relationship between local identities cannot develop any more according to a hegemonic mode of domination or assimilation of a territory on the other, how are common qualities defined? How do the alterity referents change, particularly the border? These questions do not have a whole answer, of course, but interesting elements appear with the study of Interreg II programs of the two French departments of Savoie, the Italian Valle d'Aosta and the Swiss county of Valais.
