Géopolitiques de l'électricité au Machrek

Abstract : Not less than water or oil, electricty is at stake in the Middle eastern geopolitics. The rise of consumption, led by increasing population, economical growth and change in standards of life, highten the tension over that energy. Electricity strikingly reveals internal political strifes in Lebanon, the Palestinian Territories and Iraq. It also is at stake in the regional conflicts between Lebanon and Syria, Lebanon and Israel as well as in the current blockade of Gaza.
