In 1971, a Greek rock band recorded in English their own version of John's Book of Revelation, the innovative and demanding 666. It is by far the most faithful artistic rendition of the Book, though the band did not resort to obvious mimetic devices. This article explores the deep connections between The Book of Revelation, the album 666 through the prism of the sacrificial principle.
