Abstract : In this paper, we study the temporality of predicative nominalisations :
Shortly after my wedding, death of Tantlérie in Scotland. Her lawyer's notification.
We first examine whether the events referred to in these utterances happen in sequence, or are concomitant. We then move on to show how various parameters such as lexical meaning and the use of determiners, nominal modifiers or time adverbials may take part in the elaboration of induced discourse relations.
