Feu et pratiques agro-pastorales dans les Pyrénées-Orientales, : le cas de la montagne d'Enveitg (Cerdagne, Pyrénées-Orientales, France)

Abstract : For a few years, the mountain of Enveitg (Cerdagne, Eastern Pyrenees) has been the framework of a systematic study of the pastoral archaeological traces. Several palaeoenvironnemental studies were also undertaken on the conquest and the exploitation of the mountain by the agro-pastoral communities, since the Neolithic period. This paper present the results achieved on the history of fires. The study of the frequency of fires is based on the analysis of the micro-charcoals content in a peat deposit (the peat bog of Pla de l'Orri). The processes of formation and quantification of the fire signal have been analysed by reflected light micro-charcoals observations in order to carry out a morphological characterisation of particles. The reconstruction of fires occurrence on seven millennia is proposed and discussed in terms of origin and intensity of the signal.
