Prendre Clausewitz au mot. Une explication libérale de 'Liberté en Irak'

Abstract : The purpose of this article is to give a liberal explanation of « Iraqi Freedom » founded on Moravcsik’s liberal theory of international politics and the liberal approach of imperialism associated with Hobson, Schumpeter and Snyder. It argues that the American decision to go to war against Saddam Hussein has been part of a political program of senior players inside and junior players outside G.W. Bush’s administration in order to promote their material and ideational interests, and that this decision has been facilitated by the failures of democratic institutions and media.
