Chalicotheriidae from the middle Miocene hominoid locality of Çandır (Turkey)

Eine einzelne, seltene Art von Chalicotheriidae kommt in Çandır vor. Sie unterscheidet sich leicht von dem bekannten Chalicotherium grande aus Neudorf ; das Material ist aber zu fragmentarisch, um eine zuverlässige Beurteilung der taxonomischen Signifikanz der Unterschiede zu erlauben.

A single, rare species of Chalicotheriidae is present at Çandır. It is slightly different from the well-known Chalicotherium grande of Neudorf, but the material is too fragmentary to permit a reliable determination of the taxonomic significance of the differences.
