Two neolithic cases oh hyperostosis frontalis interna

Résumé

Bone nodules resulting from Hyperostosis frontalis interna (HFI) were observed on the endocranial surface of the frontal bone of two elderly females in excess of 50 years of age coming from the excavation of the Neolithic hypogeum of Boileau (Vaucluse, France). These observations constituted the first evidence for HFI in the Neolithic periods in Europe.
