Statistique et stalinisme

Résumé

In his article the author analyses how the Revolution of 1917 and the two decades of political transformations that followed affected the Soviet statistics. The author proves that social position of statisticians, their previous professional career and political perceptions largely influence the results of their statistical research. The analysis also shows the impact of a new post-revolutionary political environment and Stalinism on statisticans' objectivity.
