Les en-têtes de décrets à relief à Athènes : entre consécration privée et pratique publique

Abstract : Steles with inscriptions and bas-reliefs concern both epigraphists and archaeologists and are the result of an official decision and a private initiative. They represent a memorial to a political victory before the assembly, important in Athens, where it is necessary for leaders to establish there their authority. They attest that the Athenian democracy is both immediate through the assemblies and, at the same time, under the guidance of orators.
