(French law of social and medico-social institutions) - The pricing of social and medico-social activities can generate some litigations between operators and public authorities involved in pricing. The administrative courts developed a theory of pricing as a compensation for delivering services planned by the housing contracts. Because of the public budget pressure on the area, the judge has control over the decisions of public authorities of pricing, based on the needs of users.

La tarification du secteur social et médico-social fait l'objet d'un contentieux entre les opérateurs et les autorités de tarification. Les juridictions échevinales administratives ont élaboré une véritable théorie du tarif comme contrepartie du contrat de séjour. Face aux pressions budgétaires qui affectent le secteur, le juge exerce un contrôle sur les décisions des autorités de tarification, se fondant notamment sur les besoins des usagers.
