Bakounine et la Commune

Abstract : Exiled in Switzerland at the time of the events, the Russian revolutionary Michel Bakunin (1814-1876) was not a direct actor of the Paris Commune. Nevertheless, the activity he carried out before the Parisian insurrection deserves to be related to it. He was also a committed observer of the communalist experiment, before becoming an ardent defender of it in the months following its crushing. All these reasons lead us to question the "anarchist" dimension of the Commune.
