| A set of eight biscuits from France and Pakistan have been evaluated in these two countries from a descriptive and a hedonic point of view. Two panels of assessors have provided sensory profiles, separately but working in a similar manner. Two sets of consumers have provided hedonic scores. In order to compare these results, methods based on analysis of variance and multiple factor analysis have been defined. The comparison of the sensory profiles obtained in the two countries shows a convergence which argues in favor to say that it is not necessary to perform sensory profiling in every country where the products have to be sold. On the contrary, the comparison of hedonic scores showed not only the different trends in the two countries but also consumers from the two countries who like and dislike the same products. |
