In search of a definition for the history of economic thought
Rebeca Gomez Betancourt 1, Alexander Tobon 2
(2009)

This note discusses some ideas in regards to the character, method, and identity of historians of economic thought. They may be considered “generalist” economists, who hold knowledge of general theories. This knowledge allows them to establish links between different fields of specialization in economic, and the reconciliation with the contemporary economics. Therefore, historians of economic thought have a precise and permanent position within the economics discipline. [ http://ideas.repec.org/a/lde/journl/y2009i71p235-250.html ]
