Mexicans speaking in dârija (Moroccan Arabic): Media, Urbanization and Language Changes in Morocco

The paper analyses the first dubbing of Mexican series into Moroccan Arabic. Based on the comments raised by these dubbings, the paper analyses the linguistic stereotypes concerning the various Moroccan Arabic dialects and the language changes due to urbanization

Cet article décrit la première tentative de doublage de série télévisée mexicaine en arabe marocain. A partir des commentaires soulevés par ce doublage, il revient sur les stéréoptypes langagiers concernant les différents dialectes marocains et sur les changements en cours liés à l'urbanisation
