Las colecciones sobre América Latina en la Biblioteca Nacional de Francia

The article presents the wealth and the principal provenances of the collections on Latin America at the Bibilothèque nationale de France (BnF). Regarding the print collections prior to 1940 the most important sources of acquisitions were donations and exchange. Highlights within the donations are the collection of the consul Léonce Angrand, the collections of Comisión Nacional de Cooperación Intelectual and of the doctor and poet Oscar A. Larrauri. After the World War II the adquisitions resume their regular rhythm and cover disciplines somewhat neglected during earlier periods such as sociology, anthropology and political science. With the legal deposit this becomes the most important source of the general collections located since 1995 in the new location in Tolbiac. The article also presents the variety of the special collections: manuscripts, plans and maps, engravings and photographies, performing arts, still found at the historic location of Bibliothèque nationale at rue de Richelieu.

[ES] El artículo quiere presentar al lector la riqueza y las fuentes principales de enriquecimiento de los fondos de la Bibilothèque nationale de France (BnF) sobre el continente latinoamericano. En lo que se refiere a las colecciones impresas hasta 1940, las donaciones y los canjes internacionales fueron los dos canales más importantes de colecta de documentos. Entre todas las donaciones recibidas destacan el fondo del cónsul Léonce Angrand, el fondo de la Comisión Nacional de Cooperación Intelectual y el del médico y poeta Oscar A. Larrauri. En la posguerra, las adquisiciones retoman su ritmo regular y abarcan disciplinas algo descuidadas hasta ese momento como la sociología, la antropología y la ciencia política. Con el depósito legal, las adquisiciones se vuelven la fuente más importante de crecimiento del fondo general que se ubica, desde 1995, en la nueva sede de Tolbiac. El artículo presenta también la variedad de las colecciones especializadas: manuscritos, planos y mapas, grabados y fotografías, artes del espectáculo que se hallan todavía en la sede histórica de la Bibliothèque nationale: rue de Richelieu.
