Abstract : We proposes to examine three key issues of urbanity identified during the creation of an Atlas of public spaces - Saint-Étienne 2007-2012 : livability, mobility and citizenship. Built on the capture of common practices and manners, moods and urban rhythms, this Atlas questions the formal relevance and content of the meanings of multiple mediums - writing, images, graphics - which will be presented to account for the sensible qualities of contemporary public spaces.
