Aménagement urbain durable et sentiment de sécurité - Exemple de l'agglomération bordelaise
Résumé
The social demand of city dwellers concerns safer and sustainable urban spaces. This expectation directly challenges all the actors involved in city-making, urban planners and architects. However, safety is currently not considered as an essential component of sustainable development projects. The tramway project in Bordeaux shows how an urban project, even if safety is not considered as an important componant, can reduce the "fear of crime". To guide urban planners, we propose ten objectives to cross-reference the requirements of sustainable development and those concerning crime prevention by urban planning.
