Through a tactile exploration using scale models and images, this research focuses on vegetation as a significant component influencing qualification of architectural space. It examines different ways of representing and photographing a vegetal surface in a scale model in order to facilitate its integration in early stages of design. This exploration leads to a visual lexicon specific to the use of plants in architecture as a means to analyze and classify the luminous and spatial ambiances associated with its multiple forms. It aims to bring out a creative and innovative perception of vegetation as a conceptional element, enhancing its qualities and spatial potentials for the designer.
