Phasal verbs in Movima (isolate, lowland Bolivia) are verbs with a bipartite stem denoting the beginning or end of a process or event. The first part of the stem, a lexical prefix that has grammaticalized from a verb root, indicates aspect. The second part, which is considered the root of the phasal verb, denotes the event or process itself; it can either be a verb root, a full verb, or a special combining form. Depending on the type of root, the phasal verb furthermore contains a suffix, whose function is unclear, but may be that of assigning a durative aspect to the root. This article describes the different types and components of phasal verbs.

Este artículo describe verbos del movima (lengua isolada, Amazonía boliviana) cuya base consiste de dos partes y que indican el comienzo o el final de un evento o proceso. La primera parte, un prefijo lexical que se gramaticalizó de una raíz verbal, indica aspecto. La segunda parte, que consideramos la raíz de este tipo de verbo, designa el evento o proceso; ella puede ser una raíz verbal, un verbo completo, o una forma especial que sólo ocurre en este contexto. Según el tipo de raíz, el verbo complejo además contiene un sufijo cuya función no está clara, pero que posiblemente anade un aspecto durativo a la raíz. El artículo describe los diferentes tipos y componentes de estos verbos complejos.
