Tibetan medicine today: neo-traditionalism as an analytical lens and a political tool

This chapter offers a renewal of the ‘grids of interpretation' that are applied to Asian scholarly medicine by taking the case of Tibetan medicine. It presents a descriptive model, namely neotraditionalism, which serves to circumscribe the contemporary tendencies characterizing Tibetan and other Asian medicines.
