The paper explores the contemporary catechism project which consists in "transmitting the faith" (self-definition). In order to understand the way christian children can engage in faith, it focus on the apprenticeship of communion in two Churches in Switzerland, the Roman Catholic Church and The Reformed Evangelical Church. It explores the catechetic eucharistic programmes, the way children learn to establish a partnership with god trought Lord's Supper and the training of the eucharistic ritual.

L'article explore le projet catéchétique contemporain qui consiste selon ses promoteurs à “transmettre la foi”. Dans l'objectif de comprendre comment les jeunes chrétiens peuvent ainsi s'engager dans la foi, l'article se focalise sur l'apprentissage de la communion tel qu'il a été observé dans deux Eglises en Suisse, l'Eglise catholique romaine et l'Eglise réformée évangélique de Neuchâtel. Il compare ainsi les programmes catéchétiques dédiés à l'Eucharistie, la manière dont les enfants sont amenés à établir un partenariat avec Dieu par le biais de la communion et la façon dont ils acquièrent la compétence rituelle en la matière.
