The last front of the farming
conquest in the 19th century and, correlatively,
the first sector to be abandoned as
early as the 1940s, the Lanvaux moorland
plateau is an interesting laboratory for studying
spatio-temporal dynamics, since three
radically different spatial systems have succeeded
each other over two centuries. A vast
enterprise of collection and calibration of
highly diverse sources has made it possible
to monitor the territory's development and
understand its mechanisms, interpreted by
spatial analysis techniques.
